The easiest ways are to search by name, city, keyword or category.  For more search tips, choose “Search Help” from the e-directory menu.

How can I shorten the number of listings displayed when I get when I search?

  
   

Try to search for something unique about the organization.  For example, do they sell fair trade coffee, or deal in renewable energy?  You could search for those terms in the KEYWORD area.  Another suggestion is to put certain words in “quotes”.  Searching for credit union, will provide all listings that include either the word credit or the word union.  Searching for “credit union” [in quotes] will find only listings that include the phrase “credit union”.  Once you have the results of your search on the screen, you may make additional choices from the search fields at the top of the page to further narrow the list. How can I search by postal code?

  
   

Enter the exact postal code in the POSTAL CODE search box. Use the format N2C 5V8, including the space! Capitals or lower case doesn’t affect the search.  You currently cannot search for partial postal codes, or any USA zip code.

What is the postal code radius search?

  
   

To find organizations within a certain distance of a postal code you specify, first enter a valid postal code in the POSTAL CODE search box, then choose the radius (distance away from that postal code).  A list of all organizations within that radius will appear.
